Dr. Molly Tow is a psychologist who provides therapy to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. She has experience working with a wide range of presenting problems, including depression, anxiety, trauma, neurodivergence, substance use, and issues surrounding sexual orientation and gender identity. She has a particular interest in working with individuals navigating life transitions, such as personal and professional identity development, illness, parenthood, and relationship stress.
Dr. Tow’s therapeutic approach is grounded in relational psychodynamic theory, in that she views the therapeutic process as one of collaborative engagement that fosters self-understanding and, in turn, a sense of agency. She believes that our inner experience shapes and is shaped by the world we inhabit and is attentive to the mutual influence between a person and their families, communities, and broader systems with which they interact. In her work, Dr. Tow embodies a curious, imaginative, and empathetic stance and is committed to creating an environment that promotes self-awareness, resilience, meaning-making, and hope.
Dr. Tow earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from The City College of New York. She completed her predoctoral internship at North Central Bronx Hospital and has experience in a range of other settings including outpatient clinics, community mental health centers, college counseling centers, private practices, partial hospitalization programs, and inpatient units.
